Hi all,

i got my Omnia 3 days ago. Looks nice and seems to have lots of good features. But it is my first Windows Mobile device and as such i am having a lot of difficulty learning how to use it. (the other night trying for 3 hours to fight the activesync program until i finally gave up and switched it to usb mode took years off my life).

Anyway, i am hoping someone can help me out. I have some questions which need your expertise:

i) is there any way to monitor your data usage on the Omnia? Optus (i.e. the telco i'm using in australia for this) fee's for going over your monthly data allowance are astronomical ($20/mb) so i want to be sure. I was thinking of buying Spb GPRS monitor. Is there any other free way? Perhaps built into the phone?(ii) is there a way to be sure that when connected to wifi the phone is actually using wifi to surf the net and not gprs

(iii) is there a way to disable GPRS?

(iv) what is hsdpa? is it another way the omnia might connect? if so, how can you monitor usage, disable etc

(v) and finally, what is a link to (legally) purchase TOMTOM or some other GPS navigation software with australian maps (seem to only get links to overseas versions). And which is the best GPS navigation software.
