Guest skimber Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 Hi Everyone, Has anyone else had this problem.... I've got internet connectivity in all other apps - YouTube, Opera, Google Maps, etc - but I can't connect to Exchange. It sync's fine when connected to a PC (have tried both vista and xp boxes) but not via it's own data connection. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions they would be much appreciated!

I assume you are using activesync for always up to date email. Have you tried to browse to the echange url in internet explorer on the device to see what happens, just follow the url you enter in activesync with /exchange if you'r using exchange 2003 or /owa if using echange 2007.
Guest skimber Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 Hi M2te, Thanks for the response... Web access works fine (exch. 2003)... It's like Activesync on the phone can't connect via the phone's data connection for some reason. Cheers Simon
Guest skimber Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 Several months later and I can STILL only sync the phone via a USB cable. Same sim card, same exchange settings, work absolutely fine in my old i600. Touch HD.... nothing. Has anybody else had this issue or found a solution?
Guest jonajuna Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 not got the issue sure its not your companies server blocking the access via their firewall? im on vodafone and sync fine over the air to my exchange server, either on 3g, wifi hotspots or from usb
Guest Steev Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 What network are you with? I'm T Mobile and when the HD sets up the internet connection it adds a proxy setting that stops exchange from being able to sync also stops live messenger from working. In settings manage existing connections check your proxy settings and uncheck the box saying "this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet" This solved the problem for me so would be worth a try. Cheers Steve
