Hi there,

I hava a samsung omnia for 4 weeks now i love it but on thing is picking on me. If i have the omnia in my pocketpants (broekzak in dutch don't exactly now the english word for it). If i buck i hit the power on and off button so that is resets hisself. This is very anoying. It also happens if if press the and of button to long. Too long is more then 1 sec.

Is this a problem of mine omnia or does any one else also has problems with it?

if the omnia is switched on(either with display on or off) it should be impossible to switch it of(completely turn it of) because the powerbuttun is recessed(hij ligt gelijk of iets lager dan de behuizing)

this is how it should function

from completely off position

press and hold powerbutton for 3 seconds(red light comes on, omnia switches on)

When it is ON

press power button for a second, it switches the display of(does not turn off completely)

press button for 3 seconds and it completly switches off

do you have someting else in your pocket what might touch the button?

if it does the same after a hard-reset (and I believe it will), then it's hardware.

yes do a hardreset

also try it without the sdcard and perhaps the simcard

there might be something which is causing the reboot.

so how do you turn it off?

Maybe two front buttons press by accident together with powerbutton and this makes hard reset? Check if front buttons

are disabled in suspend mode (go to start->settings->buttons->wake up-> and mark "power button only")
