Question for Gramin XT users..... Help with this please.

I installed Garmin xt today on my omnia (i find it easier to use than igo8). Its working fine but its kind of slow acquiring the satellites. Has anyone found a way to make this process quicker?

Also I have Enhanced GPS and xtra both on along with auto download enabled. ( I have an unlimited GPRS plan so it doesn't bother me having it on).

Sorry but mine is connecting fast, but I am PassoA's lite02 ROM(which is DTHHJ9 based), perhaps, you should check your ROM version.

BTW, mine is with enhanced GPS enabled but xtra download is manual, but all these means is, the xtra download is triggered when the data is still valid and required(when I turn on GPS) unlike the auto setting which downloads data every 24 hours.

Yeah My Garmin locks in seconds too with Enhanced GPS enabled. Even now with really bad weather (heavy rain) the navigator voice still give me directions. (Im on LITE02J9 ROM & Garmin Mobile XT 5.0)

Works fine on mine also. Satts aquired within seconds - no probs
