Maybe not. Try flashing to a different rom/updater. It is a good sign that you are seeing the Samsung logo. This means the bootloader is starting and rom updater should recognize the device. So, flashing will work.
Guest Magpie2000k Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 I had same problem and it was simply that I didnt have the battery level high enough. Charged omnia reflashed and all ok hope it works
Guest jokerz1 Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Same thing happened to mine - stuck on Omnia logo screen and went no further. I couldn't re-flash it, so dropped it into Samsung Service Centre who sent it to official repairers - SBE Ltd. After 7 weeks of waiting have been told that whilst the phone is in warranty, they will not fix it as they say it has been repaired in the past (which it hasn't) so they refuse to do anything other than send it back to me. They even took a photo of the motherboard which apparently shows the problem area (although i don't know what the fault is meant to be). So if you have the same luck as me, you too are in the expensive paperweight club!

Hi abuawab, Any chance you can outline how you managed to fix yours? I am in the same boat ..... haven't tried the recharging and re-flashing yet (I cannot tell the charge state now obviously, so I plan on leaving it plugged in until tomorrow and then retry flashing. However, I would appreciate any help / pointers in this matter. Thanks!
