Guest Samwise579 Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Is there any kind of program that will emulate the signal sent out from a standard analog land line phone over an ethernet cable into a phone network connection? Cheers, Sam.

Cheers, Sam. in XP, click start, help and support type TAPI in the search box an press ENTER. anyway, how the ethernet cable (from the computer that run the program, right?) connect to the phone network?
Guest Samwise579 Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Basically we have two ethernet connections under our desks, one has an adpater fitted to plug in a phone, the other left free for an ethernet cable to run from the computer for using the internet if the wifi goes down etc. What I'd like to do is replace the analog phone completely with my computer, so I can make an internal call (which is free) using my computer, microphone and headphones. Everything I find seems to be inclined towards making calls over the internet, which isn't want I want. Anyone have any idea?
