Anyone knows the max size of the avatars

i added a couple but sofar they do not show up when i receive a call from that person.

must be possible accoording to the Rebecca Mitcel screen

disabled the wallpaper but still no luck

Tried an earlier version and it was way too buggy. Latest 1.1 is much much better.

Couple of minor issues -

Tab location stays on last selected tab - it should move back to the default when the phone app is closed or should have a user defined default behaviour.

Same goes for last dialled number. It remains on the phonepad screen just waiting for accidental pressing.

D-pad works great for search but no extended search. So if you have 50 contacts beginning with S one will still have to scroll to find the one we wanted. Search similar to 03touch would be great.

Also if dpad is set to mouse cursor then of course it is a selector only and no search.

Apart from these very minor issues - the app is great and highly recommended.

Its very ugly!

It is not anything skins cannot fix...

Profiles feature is good

But apart from that, seems overly complicated and trying to do too much with the limited screen space.

did you try just to replace them with new one? my question is how to change the backgroud of the all buttons including numbers i don't find any pic with them.

i think it is hardcoded in SECdialer.dll which is used as dialpad tool. minimal dialer is replacing it to ETphone.dll where you have all buttons and backgrouds as a separate files.

when i ask how to fit skin of minimal dialer to wqvga Paul from xda say:

"You will have to reshack the etphone.dll.

This can be done with ResourceTuner but I can't guarantee it will work on w(q)vga as is don't have a widescreen device."

So maybe we can reshack orginal SECdialer.dll and find out how it is working.

i have dll with me and i'm start working.

unfortunatly it is not so easy, when i have edit seddialer.dll with ResourceTuner i was able to find replace buttons backgroud, but when i save it to dll and replace the orginal one some old windows mobile dialpad cameup ? and i don't know why, maybe some security CRC check or something.

you can change the dialer backgroud skin using some resource tool, all you need to do is :

- download /Windows/SECdialer.dll to your pc

- Unsign it - to remove the digital signature from the dll.

- use Reshack / PE Explorer / Restorator - resource editor to extract/replace the icons inside the dll , you can also extract all GIF to your PC,

- save it as ie. dialer.dll

- use Multiple file Signer - to digitally re-sign the finished dialer.dll

- copy it to windows dir on your mobile

- change registry HKLM/security/Phone/Skin ext from SECdialer.dll to dialer.dll and do soft reset

changing the registry cause that you can always back to your orginal dll

you can change dialer backgroud by replacing dialer_bg.jpg dialer_bg_l.jpg in /windows dir

all other dialer*.png files can be also replace

i have attached what i done last night, it is not beatyfull but custom, i still don't know how to change numbers/letters color/size/font on the dialer buttons.

You can use one of the minimal dialer version, or create totaly custom one.

i'm still don't know how to change color of buttons fonts so better if your skin will be clearer.

if someone know how to change it please let us know.

i have try to change dialpad number color and in registry i have change:

HKLM\security\Phone\Skin\Dialer\Portrait\text textcolor=255[red] but this change only dialed number color.

they can be also done, all dialer*.* contact icons and sector will also change them. i'm currently trying to find how to change fonts size/color

where do you see the hex value? which tool are you using ? i see there fonts but i have already try to change them and nothing.

So hey guys i modified as many icons as i could for Omnia dialpad for both portait and landscape. I hope you like it.

They replace the original icons on the dialpad. Im attaching both the original ones and the modified ones.

I also modified a bit the background to more dark.

I couldnt replace the number icons 1 and symbol # as i couldnt find the icons for those.

The pad buttons are from PaSSoa's cooked rom. I will modify later the buttons.

Instructions:

Extract all to \Windows and overwrite. Soft Reset

Same instructions to replace back to the original ones.

one remark regarding restoring the original files

i think it is better to delete the files you copied

this way the ones in ROM appear again and you will gain back some of the storage mem.

Erm i havent modified the SECDialer.dll yet. I just used the one from Passoa.

I will see what i can do to have similar ones.
