How do you stop going back to home screen after inactivity?

Hi all, just a quick question that I haven't been able to find the answer to on here. Using the SPB Shell and whenever i use a function on it (or just on my omnia in general) if i don't use it for about 30 seconds or so, it kicks me back to the home screen. I know you can delay the screen going off part, but is there a way to stop it kicking you out of the function itself, as it gets tedious having to go back through the menus to where I was before. Any ideas, please?
