Help with flashing

Hi guys,

Ok so i think i need to reflash my phone to hopefully fix my phone.

Ive never flashed a windows mobile device before, however have done alot of Nokia's etc.

Ive tried using the official updater however WMDC isnt detecting my phone (assuming because all my phone does is get stuck at the startup screen)

So just hoping someone here can help or point me in the right direction to reflash my phone from scratch?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Depending what update you are using you may need to use an XP pc and not Vista.

You will find most ROMs here can only be installed using XP.

With following this should i be on the right track?!

The ROM ive downloaded is i900DXHJ1 - as my phone is originally from singapore.

Sorry to seem clueless, just not sure about all this stuff but need to get my phone working.

Ignore that, i just realised that file isnt a ROM image for Grandprix, so i should be using the i900XCHG5 correct?

Tried using that ROM updaters but it doesnt detect PDA device when i turn my phone on, so using grandprix is the only method, right?!

When extracting the RAR image it comes up saying file is corrupt.... eeeeeeeek?!
