Guest samjuan Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 Hello, I have a bluetooth mono headset "Moto H12", A2DP "i212" and the wired headset, now I am not sure if this is from Windows Mobile or Samsung, and if there is a configurations I am missing: 1. If I am listening on the wired headset "say radio" and bluetooth headset is connected, the phone rings, stupid enough the phone will answer ONLY from the BT headset! 2. Cannot listen to radio on the A2DP headset. 3. Bluetooth Headset connected "mono or A2DP", phone rings, wither press the answer key on the phone or from the headset, the call will always be routed to the BT headset! 4. Wired / A2DP headset connected, all sounds "email, MMS, SMS..." except for the ringing of the phone will not be heard, obviously because they are routed only to the headset! I had WM phones before, but none with radio, anyway, if I answer from the phone, then bluetooth will not work, which is convenient especially if the bluetooth is far away or tucked somewhere... and regarding the wired headset, I used to have the option to route sounds to it, and phone calls should be routed to it no matter what "first priority". Is this the case with the Omnia? are these bugs waited to be fixed or these are things I have to live with? Any third party software or registry hacks are welcome, however I genuinely want to know if there is something "Stock / configuration / waiting for a fix ..." can be done. Thanks in advance...
Guest daskalos Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 (edited) Those are not bugs... you're just not exploring your bluetooth headset connections enough... If you just want to use your bluetooth headset for music playing (aka: stereo bluetooth headset) or just want to route calls only to it do this... 1. Pair your Omnia with the headset. 2. When connected, turn off your the phone's bluetooth (to disconnect, obviously) antod turn it on again. 3. Now go to Settings/Connections/Bluetooth 4. On the box, you will see your paired headset, Tap and hold 5. Select Edit on the Pop Up box 6. You will see 2 available services: Wireless Stereo and Handsfree 5. Now, Check what services you want the headset to use...If you want to route music to the headset only, check wireless stereo, if you want to route the calls only, check only Handsfree. 7. Another easy way is do step no. 4 and select Set as Wireless Stereo or Set as Handsfree Now if you wanna route the fm radio audio to the headset, there is a an application software somewhere that route all audio including the fm radio forgot the name. If this doesn't work, the problem is maybe with your bluetooth headset. Do steps 1 to 4 and check the available services your headset offers (some bluetooth headset doesnt have wireless stereo service and only routes calls to the headset, you can verify it by checking the services offered) And maybe the problems you're facing is because you want to use your wireless headsets (bluetooth mono, bluetooth stereo) and still want the wired headset to answer your calls...your making things complicated And i think the designs of those bluetooth headset are for the users comfort, so even if your not using the headset in a call session, it should comfortably rest in your ear or ears, and theres no need to place it far away or tucked it somewhere... Just decide if you want to use a wired headset or the wireless one, not using them all at once cause it looks,on my opinion,absurd... Edited November 23, 2008 by daskalos
Guest samjuan Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 I think you are missing the point... What I am saying is basic functionality not complicating things... 1. If you press the answer key on the phone, the call should be routed to the phone speaker, not the bluetooth. 2. if the wired headset is attached, then calls should always be routed to it, not the bluetooth headset. 3. I will look into the application where I can listen to the radio from the A2DP, however this should be stock.
