Guest foxmylife Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 Hello, I read a lot of topic in the forum about people complaining about the keyboard of the Omnia. I saw the keyboard of the iphone and it looks easier. I also saw a lot of freeware for iphone-like keyboard but I don't know which one to choose. Have you tried one ? Thanks !!
Guest LGDP Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 Hello, I read a lot of topic in the forum about people complaining about the keyboard of the Omnia. In my opinion, the Samsung Keyboard is great if you set it up right... Plus I like the vibration... Nevertheless if you not confortable with it you should try Resco Keyboard (the best external one out there...) just try it for free on Resco's official site...
Guest shokka9 Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 was gonna post the app on here butthought it better to keep the originator cool. Check out the website, it's xxxHOLiC's site where ROM is also available. The key pad is as in my image below, that is my phone running Dr Dots ROM, and M2D installed. Screen shots in Dr Dots thread. Keypads are nice, Tegic pads, it looks like the Samsung ones but bigger and nicer looking. I have no issues whatsoever running this keypad. in any keypad configuration. Link to CABs, also lot of other HK1 apps, see below. Thanks iTnkD4iAm. http://vitaln.com/ehalos/omnia/cabs.html Best keypad i have used, with no issues. Looks like it should of came with Omnia!!keypad1.bmp
Guest foxmylife Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 LGDP, What is the best configuration of the samsung keyboard for you ?

Guest shokka9 Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 just to say, the keypad i was talking about is now cooked into PaSSoA's latest ROM (i900DXHK1/M2D04). Something less i have to install, thanks PaSSoA!! It does look very nice.
Guest Michael122w Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 Hey, I have been very happy with the Omnia keyboard. I agree with LGDP that the haptic feedback is a really nice touch and I miss it when I try other keyboards. If you are after a Iphone keyboard, then try out PocketCM Keyboard (from www.pocketcm.com). It is a really good keyboard, with lots of skins. Its also freeware B)
Guest chokia Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 Most of these keyboards dont spread fit from edge to edge in landscape mode unlike samsung keyboard, thats the only reason i stay with the original one. Even if they do they'll take up a lof space until u cant see what you're typing, especially on website's form like login and password
