Guest Downloaderz Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Hey guys, I am having some troubles with connecting to the internet through VPN on the Omnia. When I set my Wifi Network Card to 'Work' and then the wifi network to connect to 'Work', I cant seem to connect to my VPN. I click connect on the connections page, but nothing happens. However, when I set my Wifi Network Card to 'Internet' and connect to 'Internet' with wifi, I manage to connect to the VPN. Though this is the case, my internet doesn't seem to be working at all. I cant connect to any pages, but in rare cases, the connection works but only google links work in IE and not other links/programs. I tried connecting to my Uni's WPA network also, but I cant seem to get identified. I am asked to use WPA and TKIP, but that doesnt work for me. I managed to connect using WPA2 and AES (PEAP) once, but that's about it. After that, I tried all combinations (WPA/AES, WPA2/TKIP etc.) but nothing seems to work. It just keeps on asking for my login details when I am sure they're correct, and after a number of tries, it becomes unavailable. Can anyone help?
Guest Samwise579 Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 I had the same problem at my uni. I got vpn working, was so slow it wasn't worth it. I can connect to the wpa if I set the network adapter to NE2000, usually WPA2 AES works even though I'm told to do WPA TKIP. You'll have to enter your details a couple of times, but it should work in the end.
Guest Downloaderz Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 How exactly do you change your network adapter? Maybe that'll work for me too.
Guest Samwise579 Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Tab at the bottom of 'wifi' settings for network adapter, just select the NE2000
Guest Downloaderz Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Thank you very much, it works!
