Guest frmariam Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 (edited) I've been searching for a good, universal (as in it plays everything) FREEWARE media player for my device... So far the only one close to that I found is TCPMP. Only problem is that the TCPMP development aparently was dropped for the commercial CorePlayer (such a bad thing to happen...) and the last official release from 2006 (0.72RC1) doesn't run well in our devices: http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/ However the good people over at XDA Devs solved this and gave us a working build: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=380387 I've been using this for a while and it works well enough in general (plays some files the TouchPlayer and Windows Media Player... this last one however supports rmvb which TCPMP doesn't). There are even some pluggins including for flv browser integration (in IE). I've found however that file formats that are supposedly supported such as flv and h264 don't work (but seems like an Omnia specific thing)?! I reported this to the author of the updated build over at XDA but so far got no answer... For flv I currently use YouTubePlay by the same author that updated the TCPMP build: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=385227 Give it a try. Can you play flv (ex: YouTube videos) or h264 (ex: DB Naruto Shippuuden fansubs) in TCPMP? What did you do to achieve it? EDIT: FlashVideoBundle WILL add the flv streaming (if you use IE and not Opera) and playing flv files from the disk. If TCPMP does indeed bring this feature built-in (playing flv in the device hard drives) I couldn't use it. Here's the cab for FVB: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=362958 http://discussion.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=148801 Edited November 26, 2008 by frmariam

Guest melvynadam Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 Installed and it works great - thanks. One issue: MK4 files are seen as folders for some strange reason.
