omnia o2 wap/3g/gprs settings

Hi all sorry if this is discussed sumwhere but i cant find what im after! I have an vodafone omnia with the m2do3 rom but I am using an o2 sim card! When I first connect to net after hard reset it connects to 3g but then changes to gprs after a few seconds, can someone please give me instructions on how to connect to 3g without gprs! thanks
