Guest g_flash Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 <!-- List of processes to start when entering landscape mode --> <!-- Arguments attribute allows to pass to the process additional command line arguments --> <!-- Remove comment tags to enable --> <ProcessesToStart> <Process Arguments="">\Interner Speicher\Programme\GPSProxy\GPSProxy.exe</Process> <Process Arguments="">\Speicherkarte\Navigon\MobileNavigator.exe</Process> </ProcessesToStart> but it doesn´t change it to landscape. What have I done wrong :D thanks
Guest Jackson_X Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 but it doesn´t change it to landscape. Really I dont know. I just want to disable Manilla autorotation. Something like "black list" but it also goes wrong in some cases. Waiting for QBUS!
Guest Jackson_X Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 After service start - all works correct - today screen is rotated with button press only (Rotate action on Camera hardware button single (short) press) = Manilla is disabled & Today Plugins are displayed in the Landscape mode. Press the rotate hardware button again - manilla is restored. Then I start book reader (ALreader) - autorotate works fine - exit in the Portrait mode - all correct. Start it again, autorotate & exit in the Landscape mode - Manilla became Horizontal & autorotate was enabled for Manilla too (looks like your service was disabled (??) ). To restore correct work I need to restart Rotate Service via Console. It works fine until new "landscape exit" was performed. Also RotationService.exe took 2800 KB from the Memory - its normal ? My config in attach. but it doesn´t change it to landscape. What have I done wrong  QBUS! Could you please take a look @ this! We will be very happy with your advice! :D
Guest HellboyMC Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 When i launch rotation service, i only have start, stop and restart buttons, then when i go to file explorer and i have a file, that i can only open with internet explorer, so i can't edit anything so i can't put the programs i want, so they work in landscape mode, what should i do?
Guest qbus Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 My Omnia is still in service (in fact it reached them last Friday so I'm off for at least one more week) and can't do anything either with ROM and Rotation Service :D.
Guest Jackson_X Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 My Omnia is still in service .. Now just disable autorotate @ all.. Waiting for your repaired device!

The application is controlled via an XML file. There is no GUI. You need to transfer the XML file to your PC and edit the appropriate sections, then transfer it back to the device. There are instructions in comments in the XML file on how to alter the behavior. The XML is in the default install location where you put RotationService. (probably /Storage Card/Program Files/RotationService/, or something along those lines.) It has a very powerful feature set, but learning the syntax of the XML file can be a little confusing.

Guest reinamesa Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 Qbus, i am using the lastest rom from sector and if install rotation service the titanium/windows default doesn't runs from start. If i unistall rotation service the titanium goes back to normal. Any idea?
Guest BrBuggyB Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 It's not possible - iGo is messing directly with screen driver. Actually, it is possible. Start up Igo8, go to settings. Choose Devise and there you can select your screen orientation (it overrules your winmo setting).
Guest a1m80t Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Thanks qbus, this is definitely in the top 5 must have applications for me. It’s funny because you don't realize how useful this application is until you use the omnia for a few weeks and realize the default automatic and manual rotation sucks.
Guest Wildman3064132 Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 (edited) Qbus I have a miner issue that I have been experiencing recently, Im currently using Hartv427_V7 ROM on my Omnia i910 and every time I start application the programs crash... Attached if error log and hopefully you can give a solution. Thank You... PROBLEM SOLVED... Hartv427 released fix Edited August 28, 2009 by Wildman3064132

Choose Devise and there you can select your screen orientation (it overrules your winmo setting). I've tried that before and I couldn't get it to display correctly with that setting, map image is only displayed in center of screen with black bars on both sides but if I keep setting on normal settings on IGO and rotate screen normally and then activate IGO it displays perfect... Do anyone know how to right script in Mortscript that can trigger rotate screen command and then wait a second and then activate IGO.. Also qbus can Rotation Service be used to trigger this script file if someone can create it? UPDATE: Never mind made script and got it to Work perfectly, I also was even able to configure Rotation Service to return unit to Portrait mode as soon as IGO closed automatically... Im good now.. Guest Grassguy Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 I have a panel in titanium that goes bad in landscape. Guest qbus Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 To all of you: I don't have Omnia anymore so unfortunatelly I can't help you. If anyone want to pick up RotationService development please contact me to discuss future work on this app.
Guest sudkcoce Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 Wow, qubus, you are a genius! First of all I want to thank you for changing my omnia i900 into a perfect phone for me with your v07 rom! I had the luck to find your rom first, so I did not bother installing any other. GREAT WORK! And now for this little proggy, it seems you are reading my mind! Bravo again and thank you! If I meet you some day I'll buy you pizza and beer! :) Good luck!
Guest elvedrano Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Configuration for Khuanchai 6.5.1 Titanium 23060 ROM - fixes disappearing of the home screen issue when rotationservice is installed. Replace the ProgramFiles\RotationService\rotationservice.xml with the attached file. After replacing the file, go to Settings - Home - Items, turn on Windows Default. Press OK and turn off your phone. Everything should work correctly afterwards.RotationService.xml
Guest xkenny Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 Very usefull app. Thanks for sharing. If i can, i will give you a suggest: should be interesting the possibility of manage differents today plugin for landscape dx and landscape sx. Maybe it's possible reading Angle key in registry (in landscape it's value is set at 90 or 270 for dx or sx) and a new section in xml. I managed a manual system (2 mortscript file) for this, and now i have Protrait= Manila2D, Landscape sx = Samsung Today 2, Landscape dx = Widgets. I tried to install but the problem still here
Guest tibor22 Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 To all of you: I don't have Omnia anymore so unfortunatelly I can't help you. If anyone want to pick up RotationService development please contact me to discuss future work on this app. YES, we, simple users, who would like to make use of this excellent program, badly need some further development: a graphical interface for configuring the rotation service! Nothing fancy, just a simple, but well-thought window that helps us to choose the desired commands would be essential! Developers, please, deal with this issue!
Guest martini666 Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 I have this file and i have this problem when i select camera from my omnia's menu : it start but if i rotate it,it crash...i have put Camera.exe string in ever place into this file...but nothing...can someone help me? Thanks. I just checked my XML file and I find no instance of camera.exe and have no problems myself. And when you say "rotate" are hitting a button that you assigned to rotate or are you physically rotating device? I would think by default the camera.exe disables accelerometer whether you have rotation service installed or not. Camera should be fixed landscape. good day.
