Having problems with 'cannot execute repllog.exe'?

I had this for months and although it didn't seem to affect anything, it was annoying having to ok the error away every couple of days. It is an ActiveSync component and it may be causing sync failures or not.

After dozens of searches through a load of forums I found this which seem to have elimintaed the problem for me:

i might have fixed this problem, along with the locking whilst pushmail is running, and possible when plugging into a PC when turned off 




What I have done, 




Looking on my Universal WM6 build i noticed that the files appeared to be newer, so i extracted them from the rom and copied them to my \Windows Folder 




Now.............This dosent replace the files that are there, they are in rom, you cant do that, but what you can do and its how Tosh's patch works is by overlaying the files in the same folder but they are just held in Storage instead. 




This also means you cant just delete the files if you want to "uninstall" this......but you can move them to another folder to make the rom versions active again. 




I've only used Resco Explorer to copy/move files around. 






My Tests 




actsynnc.dll -> New 




No change/still crashing on plugin and push

mailtrns.dll -> New 


syncmgr.dll -> New 




constant CPU 20% on repllog.exe, v laggey keyb, AS display below 640 pixels on the screen bugged, push and plugin working fine

constant CPU 15% on repllog.exe laggey keyb, push and plugin working fine, slightly better than the above.

Good so far, CPU normal again, display good below 640 pixels, and plugin/push working 




Now its only since adding the repllog.exe that things are good overall, so it might be the only file that needs to be replaced. 




i've attached all 4 of the files I replaced. If you want to mess around, im currently on the 3 replaced atm and staying to continue testing

I have included his zip file here in case the link dies or anything. You will need to use Resco or similar to copy the files to the /windows folder as it needs to overwrite the ROM files. As usual, make sure you have a backup or are prepared for a hard reset if it doesn't work (though it was fine for me on the M2D03FIX ROM)

Strike that. I still get the errors (repllog.exe, calnot.exe, tskschedule.exe)
