Cannot connect to Internet using 3G / Wi-fi

Hi, I finally went with the i900 and now I'm having all sorts of trouble connecting to the Internet. As the topic says, I can't connect via 3G or Wi-fi. I'm using Three (HK) to connect, and have entered my carrier's GPRS settings (mobile.three.com.hk) into the Settings/Connections/Connections/Add New Modem Connection but I still can't connect using IE or Opera. I even took the phone down to my local Three shop and the guy fiddled around with it for a while and still couldn't get it to work. Does this mean my Omnia is f*cked? I've tried using the Wi-fi connection in my home (without any encryption) and that still doesn't work either...help!

EDIT: The 3G icon and the Wi-fi icon both appear in the taskbar but the browser can't connect. Using PDA version i900DXHJ1/DZHJ1 and Phone version i900DXHJ1 if that helps.

Update: I've tried hard resetting the phone - even though it literally is less than 24 hrs old and with no apps installed..input the GPRS / 3G settings once more but it still doesn't seem to be able to connect. 3G icon appears, Wi-fi appears connected too -but no joy. I have no idea what could be wrong..is this a problem with the ROM version I'm using? DXHJ1?

Any help would be greatly appreciated please!

check that your Network Adaptor in the wifi settings is set to "Internet" and not "work". This caused a problem for me

I've given it back to the shop to see what they can do about it but I'll post back a solution to this in case someone else encounters the same issue

i have the same problem with an i900 bought fron the UK

it worked for a few days then i got an error message and can no longer access internet via gprs or wifi

i've been told it's because the i900 and i908 are set up different for the two internet systems in the UK and HK

wondering if i can get the phone altered or something?
