THE NEW UK ROM (questions i have)

ive read on the forum there is now a rom update, although my phone is from orange its mshg5 and they havent put any of there own bloatware (makes a change)and i tried the update thing and it works but my download failed because of my internet connection so i plan on doing it later

but first i have questions

i know ill lose my wap and internet settings. but..

will i lose opera

will i get a better version of opera

will i lose google maps

will i get a better versin

will i lose anything else

and finally what will i gain. new rotation animations better scrolling is there anything i will get tha will make it worthwhile how bout the camera. ive noticed the vga video recording is a bit dodgy, will it be better and finally what will the space difference be. will i have more storage space

Well to answer a few...yes you will lose your wap setting. But the Orange website should have a service that sends them to your phone if you put your number in.

You will keep Opera and Google Maps. I think the camera slightly improved on mine too.

will i lose anything else- Back up your contacts to the sim.

You gain a few more programs like Rich Internet and Haptics on the keyboard..

Hi mate.

Where did you get the UK Update. I flashed my Omnia days after getting it to the DXHH1 version... I now dont know what version I should be on...

If you could post a link to the update files, and your process I would be v.greatful.

which omnia versions actually work on that site? i have 2x BOHH5 (T-Mobile UK) and all i get is "The version you entered is incorrect. 

 Please check your Omnia version and try again."

if it a branded device it wont it wont let you toull have to wait for tmobile to release theirs for your phone

Hi all,

My battery drainage on my Orange branded Omnia is atrocious:thumbsdow, I barely get 18 hours of use on one single charge if I'm lucky. My ROM version is BVHH1, I know, the dreaded HHs, anyone else experiencing this problem? I've spoken to Orange to find out if a ROM upgrade is forthcoming, only to be told that one will not be available for a couple of months at least:mad::mad:

im on omnia DXHI1 firmware off here its the only one i put on the phone ,

whats the newest one and where can we get it from.

i tried the site link but it says incorrect.

my phone is 16GB omnia on orange but its not branded and is unlocked to any network with any sim card

certain roms are not cpmpatible

they just wont work though if you ask around u ,ight be able to find to rom to flash your rom to i had i900xxhg5/msgh1

Am I the only person that finds the new UK Official Rom very slow and the sensitivity of the touch screen worse? Its also started turning itself off every so often.
