Guest robinhood1701 Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 thanks for all that guys, alltho i do not have an Omnia yet, its my best Option on Vodafone UK for an upgrade, They only do the 8GB Omnia, so 16GB card will be OK for now, But 128GB? WOW! I google'd that, and, it seems to be on the cards for 2011, Check out what seems to be the source article - "SanDisk developing 128 GB storage card for the mobiles", Deccan Herald Anyone know the max capacity of the card reader on the Omnia? Will hang fire on purchase of an 16GB card, upgrade is not due just yet. B)

Thanks Jokes, thats very interesting, maybe a 32GB microsdhc will be released soon, 128GB, makes you think what your phone will be able to do in a years time? have you tried Spb Mobile Shell 2.1, Manila 2d & SU2U? Or, me not being an expert, do you have that at mo to run your apps listed?
Guest balles Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 If your planning on getting this memory card I think you should wait a little longer. ScanDisk plans on comning out with a 128 gb memory card B) I think I read samewhere that omnia max SD card capacity was limited to 32 Gb, so that the max storage could become 48 Gb. I am not sure if the source was "serious" enough anyway.

I am not sure if the source was "serious" enough anyway. Some people out there are saying that the max is 32 because the biggest size is 32(its either out there somewhere or supposed to come out soon). As the size gets bigger the capacity for the Omnia gets bigger B)

Guest ajinooo Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Hi all, need some help here. I've just bought a 16GB Sandisk MicroSDHC card and when i insert it into my omnia i900, the memory status is only 3.5gb. Any ideas why this is so?? I tried to format it using Hard Reset, but my omnia's giving me error messages and subsequently dismounts the card. Any help is greatly appreciated! JJ

JJ if u hard reset, it doesnt really format the sd card. try removing the card and inserting it in an adapter for sd card if u have and format it in a regular foto camera or on ur pc, by selecting fat16 system, (if i remember correctly) and the correct size of the card. this error may happen with some unformatted or inproperly formatted cards.

Umm you ment to say fat32. AFAIK fat16 is up to 2gb. Edit: And try to format the card from your phone first. Or format it from your computer and then the phone just so you don't run on any more problems. My SE was wery picky with cards that weren't formated by him. Edited May 6, 2009 by bpivk

Guest 3shirts Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 I expirienced a little problem with the 16Gig card. once you update the music library the card is max full after. this is some kind of a bug either from the music player or manila 2d. When you delete some files it shows the actual size of the memory that is used This is a known bug with TouchPlayer which (STILL!) hasn't been fixed. It happens when Touchplayer indexes your music. It strips the album art out into jpgs but often fails to do so properly and creates corrupt files which the OS reads as infinite size, filling that memory area completely. Check the folder where you keep your music and delete everything that isn't a music file and you will be fine. Then get a different music player and never use touchplayer again! It's a shame they haven't patched it cos I like touchplayer but this makes it unusable.

I allways had this problem with Touch Player
