Omnia turns itself on when roaming

Everytime I visit the UK or France my Omnia continually turns itself on. I turn it off and a couple of minutes later it turns itself back on again. This happens when I walk around with the phone as well as when it is sitting without moving on my desk. This is incredibly annoying especially when it is in my pocket as it will usually end up making a phone call. I was in the USA last week and I did not have this problem.

Anyone else experience this issue? Anyone know how to fix it?
