Omnia Clock problem with version DFHJ6

Hi,

I bought my Omnia about a week ago. Got it from Optus in Australia - version lists PDA as DFHJ6 and Phone as XXHJ1.

I seem to be having a constant problem where the system time keeps losing an hour. It's driving me nuts and I can't figure out why it's happening. The Widget clock stays correct, so I can't tell the time has changed itself untill I go into a menu. I suspect this to be some kind of problem with DST, but who knows.

I'm in timezone GMT +9.30 (Adelaide).

Any advice on how I can stop this would be appreciated. I tend to use my phone as my alarm and waking up an hour earlier than necessary is not a good thing!

The clock on my Omnia (ROM DXHJ1) changes when I connect it to my pc, even though my pc says the right time. I have the auto adjust DST set to "manual only" so that's not it. It's VERY annoying.. I think it's a bug, I can't find the solution but it seems to be happening to many people regardless of the ROM.

I search the web and didn't find any useful solution...

People, any ideas??

Vicky

same happens to me, sometimes randomly (maybe?) but other times from tomtom7 connecting to satellites...

need an option to force time and not to sync time with anything.. its definately due to DST though. aparently HK3 fixes this.. but im waiting for a stable release.

When you are in ActiveSync, right-click on the "Windows PC" icon --> Settings. There should be a checkbox to prevent time from synchronising with your PC

Same here with DXHL3. Now that you mention it I realised it happens after I have used the GPS and navigation software I have.

I use Destinator 7.

It always changes to 1 hour forward!! B)
