Alarm is ringing only once

The phone was working fine. Now the alarm has decided it's going to ring only once. the "repeat sound" option is ticked, it was never changed, but the phone still refuses to keep ringing until I turn it off. There's been a similar issue with the option to "Display clock on the title bar" I unticked this, but the analog clock still appears instead of the battery indicator at the top of the screen.
