For only one of my contacts, whenever I receive a phone call or a text message from this person their name is never displayed. If i call by dialing their number or calling from the phonebook, their name is not displayed either. The only time their name displays is if I call them via speed dial. It's pretty annoying because i set a ring tone for this person, so the ringtone doesnt even play since their phone number isnt recognized as a contact.

i've tried adding the phone number from my call log, and it still does the same thing. I have an Omnia i910 (Verizon US version) but i don't think should matter that much cuz i think someone else had this problem too? anyone can confirm please, or have any solutions?

no else but us two are experiencing this? i'd really like to get this fixed.. as it's my gf's number that's not being recognized.. which is kind of inconvenient if i cant even hear her ringtone. i'm considering a hard reset.. but i'd really like to avoid that.

Well, actually I have somehow, a similar problem.

The contact's name does show when I get a phone call, but the name doesn't show when I get an SMS, but only the number!

I had the same problem. Thing is I had S2U2 installed, and I thought perhaps it was conflicting in some way..

Turned out I was right. Things went back to normal after i uninstalled it.
