Guest Alex Alex Alex Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 Does anyone else find it incredibly slow to transfer files via the USB cable? All my machines are hi-spec Vista (don't know if it's something to do with the Mobile Center on Vista), but for transfering save a 800Mb movie to the Omnia takes hours. I can just copy it onto a micro sd card on my PC in minutes, but a lot of data I want in My Storage and transferring a music album can take 20 minutes for me. Transferring something onto my wifes iPod such as an album is almost instant. Is this just me and some setting or is this just the way it is?

You could try to change the "Mass Storage" option to use the "My Storage" or "Storage Card" instead of using ActiveSync and will be faster (Settings / Connections / USB Connection Mode). ActiveSync can be kinda slow B) Edited December 3, 2008 by jeffrey2000
