Guest punkmonkey1984 Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 been googling and all sorts but have found no answer to why it loads the eboot image 3 times then comes up with checksum failed, does anyone know what it is and how to solve it as im kinda stuck with updating my phone
Guest MikeTay Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Encountered similar problem and no one seems to be able to solve it. However I managed to flashed successfully after I ensure that proper ActiveSyn is done. Make sure that phone has successfully completed activesyn and is still connected before switching off and on or soft resetting for the flashing. Of course you have to be using XP with Samsung Driver installed. Hope this help and let us know if you are successful.
Guest ryboto Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 I'm having the exactly same error. I'm using an XP machine with activesync and the modem driver installed. I connect the phone, sync and connect with activesync, start the rom program, reboot the device(have tried a soft reset and using the power button) and upon rebooting, the program detects the phone, and the "start" button is clickable. It begins to update, but instead of completing the process, it just loads the Eboot to 100% 3 times, then says checksum failed. What are we doing wrong!? I've even tried hard-resetting, connecting the phone, soft-resetting and attempting the flash, same error persists!

Guest harmo777 Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 to anyone still having this problem it seems that Hi-Speed USB makes a difference as i tried it without it and got the failure then installed a hI-Speed card and it worked fine
