Sounds Don't Work Suddenly...?

So I was running a few minutes late for work this morning and my manager called to make sure I was coming, and my ring tone was the one I always use, there wasn't a problem. Well sometime between that call and a call I got about 3 hours later, my phone messed up big time.

The ring tone was just a random one that came with the phone, there was not a text message alert, and the noise after you send a text was different. So basically, ALL my sounds changed.

I went in to fix them, and the ring tone works fine because I have it on my memory card, but the other sounds I use as alerts from the phone do not work. When I try to choose them I get the following error: "alert: This ring tone file is corrupted or unavailable. Please choose a different ring tone."

Anyone know what happened or where I should start troubleshooting??
