O3touch brings us a perfect solution that integrates searching and contact managing with Email and Sms sending in one environment, in a real one finger operation, fast and easy to use - and all that for free!

My immediate reaction. After a day of use, I found myself asking “where have you been before?”.

I can not understand how I managed before. I don’t find myself any more thinking twice before going into the process of sending an Email or texting. Now I don’t think twice – it’s all so easy and fast.

We have seen many applications dialers trying to deal with these issues, not even close to what has been accomplished by o3touch. They are heavy, slowing down the device and don’t really do the whole job.

Suddenly everything is big! From the contact name to the text message, not to forget the incoming caller’s name.

Searching, writing, replying, editing, you name it, it’s all visually clear and easily done with one finger – you can forget your stylus at home!

One of the most amazing features is the high ability to customize the o3touch to your preferences. There are 40 deferent setting options.

You can decide what functions you want to take advantage of.

You can adjust the speed of the app, select keyboards combination, change the entire UI language, sound level, visual effect and much more.

The O3Touch application is now user multilanguage and can be editing by Desktop Editor Setup that can download to your PC and you can translate the application as you want.

Tried it.

Deinstalled it immediately

for starters

NO XT9 osupport on the keyboard(i know you can hold the button but that does not work)

Finger friendly my ass, the minute i select messaging it launches outlook(which is not finger friendly

no integration with the standard buttons(i want a hardware button to press and a phone to show up)

it is fast but so is any other program sitting around doing nothing.

the best program sofar is Spam alert from iconsoft and even that one has bugs.

we need a tool which is totally transparent to all other standard software.

every option or button we press needs NOT to launch the standard software but customised software.

it must have total integration with outlook contacts and not creating it's own database.

Well, using harsh words, my suggestion - RTFM!

I have to say I tried it and its pretty mediocre, if its your creation thanks for sharing, is this spam?

My 1st preference is HTC PhonePad #2 TouchPal

I haven't tried this, but i think it certainly is in need of an interface lift in order to compel me to want to use it. I don't find the square-boxy design attractive at all, but maybe some users do. Is it at least skinable?

@ Omnia_1

Can you post a .cab (if its free) or link to where I can find out more about the HTC PhonePad? Thanks.

Hello Omnia_1

Thanks, it is my creation and some users find it useful.

Out of you remark I trust you did not face any of the application abilities. Yes it is not about design, Some users are into the look more then about the goal.

I have tested the application for 3 month with over 200 users. It may take some time to get familiar with the different approach. Many times the first reaction is about the look and not about the do. Most of the time users study very fast how to do what. My offer to you is to give it a real one hour try.

I'm trying it out and 1st impressions are good, I like it but it is lacking predictive text, any chance of this being added I wonder

Hello CanonKen

The application does not support T9 or other word completion system, (I think that was your question). Adding T9 involves coasts and as you know, the application is free.

No you RTFM

you want us al to know how good this application is.

well if it was that good we sure do not need a manual.

live with the fact that something which is perfect in your eyes can be rubbish in others.

@arieHa

i noticed you are the one who developed it.

it is not a bad program but not the thing i am looking for

one thing, it is really fast.

Hello gravityz

Some time it worth the little effort, reading the manual. But if you do not, then do not be too fast to judge.

The application take you with no effort to you contact, even when you have over 2000 of them, then it lets you edit the data, write text, put a note, send SMS, dial, copy and send one contact information to anther, use preset messages, auto answer a call with the caller name inside your answer and more. All of that with no need for the stylus.

But you were too much in a hurry to uninstall it telling us your conclusion that it is doing nothing. Well for your knowledge, the application is fully synchronized with the outlook and any action you do is in real time updated in outlook.

You do not have to read the manual, but you can give it a real try, some good things some time ask for some efforts.

After reading this thread, I was inclined not to try the 3O Touch. However, the spirit of curiosity prevailed.

I am really glad that I ventured to give the 3O Touch a shot. The application is quite creative and has a different approach to a phone dialer. Thanks for providing the application free. After just 1 day of use, I am liking it and with time am sure it would turn into a necessity.

ok i will try it another time.

maybee i reacted a little quick but the thing is i tried out erveral programs and sofar none of the them are a 100% replacement of the buildin software(and the build in software is not perfect either, hence the need for a replacement)

Dear gravytiz'

Thanks for the effort, I do appreciate it.

We are in WN environment, on its limits and evolution history, the expectation for 100% app is not realistic. Also please remember that as an embedded system there are and will be many compatibility issues that can be completely solved, only for a specific device application.

Developing the o3touch was under the concept that it should work on as many as possible devices, as a result it does not deal with hardware issues that are specific for a single device. Those issues are left for the generic tool the manufactures provide.

I believe that under these limitations the app does offer a different approach to giving a decent answer to many tasks. At the same time some issues yet need to be taken care.

I will be happy to answer any questions, bare in mind that this is a "young" app with no corporation behind it.

Regarding reading the manual. Once an app is within a well known operating concept, users usually can start working with it without reading the manual, however, introduction of a deferent concept requires some patience and some learning. Thanks.

What you need to do is Just change the registry

Hello,

Let me tell a few words. I've made a russian translation of this excellent software. I'm trying to promote it in russian forums. I see two kinds of responces. Positive and not. I'll try to explain my thought.

IMHO, main raeson of o3touch dislike is not complete understanding of it's main ideas.

- o3tocuh is designed for one-hand operating, so there are no qwerty-keyboard, only phone-style dialpad. For devices with small screens it's may be a better solution.

- o3tocuh trying to spped up contact search. Try to turn on "Contains..." mode for search, and see it. I have about 100 contacts in my phonebook, but now I usually find needed one in a 3-4 clicks. One letter from name, space, oe letter for surname. Done. I didn't think that T9 search will be much faster, but also I think Arie will implement it in future, if it's so necessary.

- o3tocuh is designed to minimize memory and space usage, so there is no glittery-skins, 3D sound effects and so on. o3touch is like guud business class - not shining, not visually stunning, but you get's all you need. Two skins for day and night is enough for usual needs. Maybe in future, will be added color scheme editor. But as for me, it didn't makes much sence.

In conclusion, I can said - if you didn't try o3tocuh - please do it :-) It takes not much resources, and runs good on any screen resolution (even wide-ones). If you tried and didn't like - give another chance, it's worth it.

PS Russian version of screenshots, not the last version, but showing translation ease :-)

What did you change the registry to?

It's written at the bottom right. In HKLM/Security/Phone/Skin, change Enabled to 0.

I'll give this application a try. Sounds good.

well, you can find on the net many skins of the generic dialer with big buttons.

but let me ask you this:

What happends after you find you contact? you want to send him a massage by SMS or email, how many times you shut down you device decide that you don't want to getout your stylus and start writing the litle keyboard or try and write with no ucurate touch on big other keyboard.

All the steps of these actions are slow and not so easy to use, when you have the O3touch that I find it very fast and easy to use with one finger , one application with no waiting others to be open with small amount of space and litle font. Here you have big fonts, many space, and did I mentioned - fast?!

When you are on the road or in a meeating you don't have time to spare - you need fast reaction from you device and you don't have it on your generic WM dialer (or SMS or mail).

My opinion - O3touch have all fast reaction , easy to use , and spare my valuable time.

have a nice day.

Damn you guys sound like a bad commercial.

I don't like it for one. Not just the looks but because i don't feel that it gives me anything that the default one gives me (plus some extra apps that are also free). My wote goes for default Samsung keyboard because it can search trough my contacts and dialed numbers and for Resco Keyboard because it's finger friendly (for writing SMS, MMS,...).

And please don't turn this into a flamewar.

no after i find a contact i want to CALL HIM.

most people seem to forget THIS IS A PHONE

you call people with your phone

sms and email is nice bu threbasic functionality of a phone is to CALL.

apparently not only the users but also the designers seem to forget this.

@BPIVK

you are absolutely right, everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

lets here it but please do not complain when other people do not agree with you.

Dear gravityz

You Touch the name of the contact and touch the dial button …. How much faster you want to dial…

I think you are not talking about O3Touch. May be you installed something else. The other option is all wrong.

Have a good day
