Can't we get an automatic Internet & MMS setup for Omnia

I found it a major negative issue in the Omnia by not being able setting the internet and MMS automatically when traveling from a country to another just like the HTC. It had an automatic connection setup which was helping a lot the frequent flyers like me.

No hope to find a solution for the Omnia

i have no problem with my omnia. i have tried 3 different sim cards from 3 different networks (2 from italy and 1 from the philippines) and the settings (mms, internet settings) were automatically installed. perhaps its with the rom version?

Can you specify how you got the settings on yours

Hi, I just bought my Omnia 2 days ago...and a newbie for Modaco...

I'm an old HTC-Prophet user though.

I am having the same question on the so called "network config wizard" as in HTC.. Omnia don't seem to have that one.

I understand if we input different SIMs, the phone would configure automatically....

What about the same SIM...travelling abroad overseas...international roaming...i'm not sure how Omnia would react...(still haven't had a chance to go overseas with my new Omnia)....

Anyone experienced this?

That is exactly the problem I'm facing too and it differs the HTC automatic configuration for the internet settings from the Omnia
