Guest Omnia_1 Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 This is the old trusty Phonpad extracted from HTC device many moons ago, its light, its functional, its skinnable and most of all its easy to use. I included OEM and .Cab

Guest Omnia_1 Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 p.s. how dya get that circular start icon for your taskbar? There are various ways to do it, you can cook it into ROM, WA3 or use Start Icons Skins.
Guest finaldestiny Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 (edited) Thanks for this Omnia_1 In the top-right corner those are forward and back buttons to move the cursor in a text input screen right? Giving this a go now. Edit: Never mind, i figured it out. The t9 in this is a lot better than omnia's, i just wish it had more finger space and vibration though. How difficult would it be to replace omnia's t9 with the one in this? I noticed there are some t9 .dll files in the OEM version you gave, dunno if that can be used though. There is a phonepad cab with added vibration however its not working in Omnia, as for the size of buttons its really convenient as it leaves so much free screen realestate and even with my chubby fingers I can hit the right button 99% of the time. I suppose one could resize the Omnia button images to skin Phonepad.

B) I could combine this with TouchResponse to get vibration so, vibe is easily sorted out in that regard, but can you still post the .cab for the vibe phonepad? Maybe with a bit of tweaking it will work? For me, in potrait I kept hitting the symbols button when i wanted to press space, and in landscape I had to maneuver carefully because the buttons on the left side (bottom row) were all dangerously close to the 'send' key in messages menu, so i'm worried i'd easily send a text b4 finishing it (no confirm to send text pop-up screen!)
Guest Omnia_1 Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 (edited) Here's the PhonePad with haptic feedback, NOT WORKING in Omnia! Here's an alternate skin Diamond style (untested in Omnia) Edited December 7, 2008 by Omnia_1
Guest finaldestiny Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Thanks for the files, i'll give a crack at this whenever I have some more free time.
