Guest webcrush Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Hi All, I have a Verizon based Omnia i910. I noticed just yesterday that I'm getting MAJOR feedback when anything touches the microphone during a phone call. I initially thought that maybe it was due to the design of new case I put on it causes echoes or what-not, but the problem happens without the case as well. I also notice the feedback get much worse and more sensitive if I turn DOWN the earpiece volume. I do know the other day I was tinkering with the 'soundtester' app, but I understand this doesn't actually DO anything, so I'm a bit baffled. Is there some other config based way I could have screwed up the input level for the mic? TIA. Adam
Guest webcrush Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 Quick update--covering the speaker on the headset removed the problem as well. Do we have reg entries that can control the speaker volume? Thx
Guest chokia Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 Have you tried using microsoft voice command with bluetooth headset? Place your phone 10feet away and Can you give command through the BT headset's mic?

Guest knswenson Posted December 9, 2008 Report Posted December 9, 2008 I can try, but what would this show? I just found Soundtester and after I closed it to answer a phone call, I started getting feedback as well. Hadn't changed any settings on my 910.
