Guest xiuhan83 Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 Hey all, Not sure whether you have experience the same battery life. But my touch hd seems to use up battery really quickly. I only manage to squeze 1.5 hours for tom tom software. and if just normal usage , few calls, reading document , running programs like dictionary, playing one or two song...can only last me less than a day. which is really bad, considering i have to charge it all the time

You have the screen on at full brightness running GPS and using processing power - it will kill the battery life. Get yourself a car charger. For 'normal' use it will depend which wireless connections you have running (3G/BT/wifi/GPS), how strong the phone signal is and how much time the screen is on. I would expect about a day from any Windows phone (or most smartphones for that matter) - my wife had to abandon the platform as she makes 3-4 hours of calls (or more) a day and the phones could not make it from 7am to 11pm without charging.
Guest b0x Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 GPS is the most draining radio on board, that's about right for tomtom. I can easily make mine last friday evening to monday morning if i'm not radio heavy.
Guest frankindevil Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 yeah, GPS software kills the battery life. if you dont use GPS software. and normal usage. it can stand by up to 2 days. it's really cool for HTC devices. get yourself a car charger when you use GPS software
Guest kurtfhouse Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 I can get 3 days plus out of mine with low usage. Its the best PPC device I've had battery wise, not tried using it as a sat nav for more than 40 mins yet though, but 1.5 - 2 hours sounds pretty good.
