Bluetooth headphones with Samsung Omnia

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone has used bluetooth headphones with their Omnia, wondering what the best ones are to use with it.

I been thinking Nokia BH-503..

I would like it for listening to music as I do not wish to use that microphone connection that comes with it.. I would prefer maximum sound quality but it does need to be durable too.

My apologies if a similar thread has been posted.

im using the jabra bt3030 and it works really well with the omnia. for example.. before i had the eten m700 and if i used the bt headset my ringtone would also go over the headset. This seems quite logic if you use it for music,, but if you also use as a normal headset.. its very anoying because you have to keep your earplugs in in oder to hear your phone ringing. With the omnia is both.. over the headset and over the phone. You can actually chose if you want the bt headset just for music or also for answering the phone..

And ofcourse it works with the media and touchplayer.. so you can forward and skip songs from your headset. The sound is as far as i can tell the same as with the standard headset (cable) from samsung

im very happy with it!

You are surprised about the price! Nothing is surprising about NewEgg that is why Amercans love it.

the review is here:

The best I could find for you was this -> https://www.expansys.es/p.aspx?i=148491

I do not think NewEgg ships Internationally, you can ask them though.

Thanks a lot!

I'll ask Newegg if they send packages to spain. i want a bluetooth stereo headphone, and I want it now!!! (Homer Simpson mode ON,hehehe!)

i'm currently using Philips shb7100 and it's working great .

there is a 3.5mm jack so you can use your favorite headphones with it.

it works perfect with touch player , core player , windows media player.

I'm normally a samsung yp-p2 bluetooth touch player and sennheiser cx-500 user. I got better sound quality then the orginal samsung omnia earphones, which is a problem. I've purchased a samsung sbh-170 bluetooth headphone for both using with omnia and yp-p2. I thought I would sell my mp3 player when I purchase it while having more convenient music experience with omnia but I find out I was wrong. For using with YP-P2, it isn inconvenient because it disables equaliser settings when connected to bluetooth headset, on the other hand, headphone has weak bass quality with omnia and yp-p2.. It is hard to accept that quality after sennheiser.

In conclusion, I think the best choice is using sennheiser with something like -- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=220315578609 -- that Street northeast posted. Generally bluetooth headsets does not have good sound quality even if they have good rating on cNet B) (experienced). I would like to try this eBay item with sennheiser.

And the one that I tried sbh 170 ... :

I'm using Philips SHB6100 (supports A2DP, AVRCP & Handsfree bluetooth profiles) and it works perfectly with my omnia. Excellent sound!

Yes that is the general idea ---

But it really boils down to what one wants to do

- pure hands free phone use - a dongle

- music/vids - no choice except wired, but the headset and the phone dont have to be physically connected. So a small bt remote in the pocket is ok. Added bonus is it can still take phone calls.

Maybe one day they will come up with dual dongles .. haha

I have Creative SE2300, but unfortunately I haven't used them with my Omnia as yet. I bought it to use them with my iPod (classic 160GB). It's not as cheap as some of the stuff that's been posted (I paid a 100 SGD, thats around 60 USD), but it's got a pretty good review on Cnet, and the fact that it's non bulky. It says on the site that it runs to up to 8 hrs, but I've never tested the limits. The range is decent and i usually walk around the house wearing these, so walls are not a problem. The two pieces of hardware (adapter and headphones) are synced, so when there is no signal between the two for 2 minutes, it turns off. On the headohone itself there's the volume control button (works with iPod), and also has the next/previous buttons (doesn't work with the iPod). But the main advantage is that it's got an A2DP adapter included, so I can simply plug and play in a non-bluetooth device, which would be useful when you're almost out of battery on you Omnia.
