omnia stuck on "samsung omnia" screen & all updaters get stuck before the end.

hey guys

I'm new to the omnia and the forums so please do excuse any faux-pas i make.

I'm having a massive problem with my omnia. It came originally with the vodafone branded software. i immediately reflashed it (with DXHJ1 i think) from this forum and it went perfectly. after about a week with the firmware, i decided i wanted to experiment a little and try out some new roms, the DTHJ9-MCR03.

I backed up my data and set the updater on its way. Unfortunately, it got stuck (cant remember at which %) for quite a while and i decided to unplug the omnia. i thought it was bricked. luckily, it came up with the samsung logo and was still being recognised by the firmware updater on my laptop (with windows XP) [which i gather(ed) from this forum was a good thing]. i tried dozens of times to get the firmware to update to the MCR rom but it kept freezing at random percentages over and over. on one occasion, it actually managed to go all the way and the updater said job-done. however, i still didnt manage to get any further than the samsung omnia logo screen. after several more attempts and freezes, it again got to the "job-done stage" however it still got no farther than the logo. The log that i had is as follows:

i've tried several other roms and i've even tried to flash it with grandprix (to HH1 using Paul's instructions) however it just keeps getting stuck.

I really am at the end of my tether and am in desperate need of some help!!!!

I'd appreciate any advice you guys can give me

PS. I haven't had the "Monahans" driver thingy.... so i gather all is not lost? (I HOPE!)

i had a similar problem

can u specify when GRAND_PRIX stucks ?

i had it stuck at 83% , i charged the battery fully and gave it another go , and i managed to revive it

I found my problem.

I bought a spare USB cable from ebay and i was using this to flash it.

As soon as i switched to the official USB cable, everything went fine and i now have a fully functioning omnia with minimal effort :rolleyes:

hmmm My omnia is stuck on 13% downlaoding eboot thisngy idk. Is it worth unplugging?

I've flushed my i900 omania and after the Successful flash it freezes to "Samsung Omnia" screen

btw I've flashed it several times with different roms (all WM 6.1 )

any suggestion what may be ?
