Guest grodri02 Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Hi, I have an Omnia i910 and was jut wondering if anyone out there has problems with the latest google maps app. The latest one is not allowing me to type in numbers using the samsung keyboard. Using the little tiny MS keyboard allows me to input numbers. However, in the previous version I never had a problem. Can anyone help! Thanks!

I think we need to notify google, as it appears to be a problem with their newest application. I saw a couple of posts on google forums, but so far no response. My guess is that they will release an updated version eventually, but who knows when!

Guest verlok Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 The samsung keyboard doesn't work, but the samsung keypad does That's on a i900 running rom HK3 (PV7) with googlemaps v2309 Neither samsung keypad nor keyboard work with numbers. The text input only works if you allow txt recognition to run (xt9 option). I have no idea why this would be, but google needs to fix it pronto.
Guest rckymtnrfc Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 I noticed this too on my i910...but I recently switched to SPB Keyboard and that doesn't seem to have a problem typing in Google Maps. You can also change to the default Window Keyboard....but you'll probably need the stylus to type on it....to enter an address in Google Maps....that one works too.
