Guest pdes Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 It may seem obvious to some but just in case you haven't realised, there is a tiny light on top of the omnia that shows the state of charge. When charging, the light is red. when complete, the light is green. The point of this mail is to point out that if you rely on the battery meter to show 100% charge and then disconnect, the charge may not be complete and your battery will run out quicker than expected. I have left my phone charging for a further 2 hours after the meter showed 100% until the green light came on.
Guest leighaus Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 (edited) yea i always go by the light... but ill normally only charge it while i sleep... im currently doing a battery test (allowing it to fully die) and ive gone 2 full days so far, medium use**, still have 75% batt... so damn impressed with its batt life. its just awesome compared to any of my other phones. **multiple calls, sms, pic taking/viewing, hours of radio (thru headset mainly). Guest GTDave Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 What does it mean when the light goes blue? Several times now, when I have taken it off charge, it has gone from being green, to blue! It stays that way until I reboot the phone.

Please note that letting your battery die completely you may run into troubles (try do a search in this forum if interested, I cant remember what the thread title was, sorry) getting your omnia to life again.

My battery dies every night! It cannot be brought back with a USB charger but is OK with the mains charger. It re-starts though. Would love to know how the other poster gets two days with 70% still remaining!!! I get 18 hours max. I think Bluetooth is the real killer. I used to leave BT on all the time on my Nokia N95 and still go 4 days. Wonder why there is such a disparity in power requirements. BTW, is the GPS receiver "on" all the time? Does it consume significant power? Can it be turned off?
Guest marind Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 I had a white light the other day!
Guest Tulius Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 The small and almost invisible led, turns to blue when using the BLUETOOTH. :-D

Guest Reuben (MY) Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 The white light appears when the phone is very hot ... and it won't charge until it cools down a little ... white happens to be the color code used for doctors and nurses, so when it blinks white, it needs beautiful nurses around :) any cross appear on screen? you need to admit the phone to ICU (intensive care unit) when cross appears
