Samsung Omnia bluetooth problem

Hi, I recently bought a Samung Omnia and I have problems to connect it to my car radio (Alpine kce-300bt) through Bluetooth.

My car radio sees the omnia and I can receive calls but I can't access my phone book. It seems I'm not the only one to have this problem

My Pioneer Cd Player works great with the omnia. Have you checked for a Bluetooth update on the Alpine?

I have a JVC bluetooth head unit, and it's fine with the contacts. When I first initialise the bluetooth profile with the car, my phone asks whether I wish to grant permission to the car to access all contacts. On clicking yes, they're all on my car now! Check for a bluetooth update for your car, or even try a new ROM for your phone (i.e. winmo 6.5)

I’m looking to replace the CD/Radio/Cassette player in my new car. I need to find a double-din (2-DIN) unit and would like one with compatibility for any functions to work with my Samsung Omnia i900. Does anybody have a head unit in their car connected to an Omnia?

The sort of thing I’m looking to do would be to connect to my phone (I guess via Bluetooth) to stream MP3’s from the Omnia’s storage and hopefully make/receive calls over Bluetooth.

Any suggestions, advice or guidance would be appreciated.
