Guest Apo11on Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 When you make phone calls after 2 seconds literally your screen locks up and the middle hardware button is the only way to unlock it. This "feature" has been making me sick for a while, as it is quite often when you make calls you hit automated answering systems where you need to press numbers, etc' through a lot of automated prompts for user input. And when your device keeps locking up after every 2 seconds it's getting really annoying and you can miss some prompts easily. I searched everywhere in Settings and was unable to find where that automatic lockup could be canceled or at least timeout for it increased, so it won't lock so fast - couldn't find it, so I dont think a setting for it exists. I think this should be hidden somewhere in winblows registry and I was wondering maybe someone with Omnia and winblows mobile knowledge could advise where to look for it? It would be really nice to find a registry setting to disable that lock, or at least increase the time until it locks the screen. Ideally - both settings. If anyone knows - please speak up.

Guest Apo11on Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-omnia-h...-lock-in-calls/ Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, I don't have GSM Omnia anymore, I got Verizon's SCH-i910, so that dll Paul patched is not usable for me, and Paul still has not patched the CDMA one, although people did send him the dialer dll from Verizon's version - last page of that thread
Guest tensor123 Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 For me, this feature comes handy, because otherwise i push buttons with my cheek during phonecalls. I have another problem, which is, if i lock my omnia and then answer the call, the keypad doesn't lock. When i answer this way, i have to push answer and then main call button, to get into samsung dialer, which then locks the keypad. One more thing... anyone knows, how to set omnia, to lock itself after a few minutes, without password protection? TY
Guest Reuben (MY) Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 you may edit registry and disable skin, with skin disabled, it automatically disable the lock function HKLM/Security/Phone/Skin Enabled: 1 : change 1 to 0
Guest arniep Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 Does anyone know if there is a way to change the delay on the automatic lock? I like not worrying about inadvertenly pressing something during a call, but would like to be able to keep it unlock for, say, 10 or 20 seconds, in case I am asked to key in a pin, like for voicemail. Any ideas about how to customize the lock delay during a call? Thanks! you may edit registry and disable skin, with skin disabled, it automatically disable the lock function HKLM/Security/Phone/Skin Enabled: 1 : change 1 to 0
