Guest ultraviolet4u Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Hi guys For some reason, my Omnia clock (both system and widget clock) changes (only) when I connect the phone to the PC. I keep re-setting it right but every next time I connect the phone to the pc it advances 1 1/2 hours. I have set DST to "manual only", so that's not it. My Vista PC is also set NOT to syncronize time with the internet time, so that's not it either. Any solution to this? Thanks.
Guest greyfox8585 Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 your omnia will change to the time of your pc on connection so you need to check you pc is at the right time
Guest leighaus Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 mine goes back an hour after the GPS (tomtom7) connects to satellites.. REALLY annoying.... wish i could stop it.

I also noticed (besides the clock problem) the sms time is also wrong! I have to set a different home country in order to match the sms time to the real time. In addition I have to re set the time everytime I connect to my pc (vista). I;m getting frustrated cause I can't find a solution to this VERY ANNOYING THING!! Anyone?

This as nothing to do with the Omnia clock. Unfortunately it's the TT GPS driver that doesn't work well so the UTC time that is passed from satellites gets messed up. Let's hope TT will update their drivers... unlikely since at present TT is not officially compatible for Omnia...

Exact (half hour, one hour) differences in time sound like a timezone difference
