Uninstalling M2d - TOuchflo

Hi,

New to here and all and got the i900 some 2 days ago. Still playing with it and the potential is pretty unlimited.

I have installed the M2D edition and it's sweet but seeing how there's other out there.. I like to trial them out as well.

How do I uninstall Manila2d?

These are the steps that other have suggested

- Start - settings - today.. and untick Touchflo...

When I do that, it's still not available for me to uninstall it from the remove program.

- Hard Reset, clear memory

Touchflo is still there.. this thing is like that little cockroach from Wall-E... unkillable.!!

Should I just reflash the ROM back to factory default... or is there an easier way to uninstall the program?

Thanks heaps in advance..

i think you got to switch to other today item first before uninstall it, because if you're still with TouchFlo and attempt to uninstall, the application still resides in memory thus not completely removed.

No matter what I do.. it's still not happening. I have select other 'today' item to be showing.. but all without any success.

I have hard reset and everything.

Someone on another forum said that.. the manila2d might be a 'cooked' ROM? - it is the one I got from here...

If it is existed after a hard reset, you probably flashed your phone with a Manila2D ROM. In this case, you cannot uninstall it but you can only disable it with today settings. However, having it in your ROM has no effect on anything you want to try. If you really don't want to use it, you have to reflash your phone with official ROM.

.. I though so as much.. I guess the thing ain't tooo bad looking. =o)

I wish I can flash it with a Singapore ROM as I store ALOT of Chinese songs.. and would love for i900 to recognise the characters... but I tried and it won't let me.
