VGA with 30 fps in Omnia

As far as I know, in another topic (on this forum or another, I don't remember) it was specified that Omnia can't reach VGA with 30 fps because the lack of WM 6.1. If this is true, why Xperia can? Not even one updated ROM takes into account also this aspect, it's really this one so unuseful facility for Omnia's owners?
