Guest atmt Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 Hello. I'd like to disable the sound of sms delivery notification (I want to see a notification but without any sound). I searched a lot of sites but haven't found any solution...
Guest CanonKen Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 Start>Settings>personal tab>sounds and notifications>notifications tab Select messaging: new text message from the events list Take the tick out of play sound Put a tick in the display message on screen

In this case I will hear no sound when I receive a normal text message. I want to switch this sound off only in case of delivery notification report (now after sending a message in a short moment I get a notification with sound. I don't want this sound). Hope my problem is clear now:)
Guest CanonKen Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 Sorry, misread your post, do you need the delivery reports? cancel them if you don't, thats one feature I never use

What you need to do is: Home -> Message -> MMS -> Menu -> MMS Options -> Then uncheck Request delivery report, and read report.
Guest deepside Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 They were both unchecked anyway. It is only happening with MMS.... If i go into Settings > personal (tab) > Sounds And notifications > Notifications (tab) > Event (dropdown) as abu123 suggested, i wouldn't get a sound for INCOMING mms either.
Guest deepside Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 bump! it's getting really annoying :) I want to click send, and put fone back in pocket and not worry about a stupid notification!
