Guest ryboto Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 Is there any way to make the screen turn off while using the touchplayer? I have power options to turn off the backlight after 10 seconds of idle time, and the system to "power off" after 1min, but the screen stays on while playing music. I'm not using my bluetooth headset yet, just the wired headphones that came with the Omnia. Is this normal? I'd really rather have the screen turn off while playing music, would help with battery usage a lot I imagine.

Guest Michael122w Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 Do you have any third party apps installed (like S2U2)? Touch Player plays quite happily in the background on my phone
Guest leighaus Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 i found s2u2 stopped my music playing if i sent my phone to sleep (tap very top button).. so i removed it.. i just chuck what song/playlist/album i want on, then chuck it on to sleep (Standby) and away she plays. if i need to chance it, just wake the phone up again by hitting the power button again.. stops accidental knocks and saves the batt..
Guest Massive Attack Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 last time i used s2u2 theres an option to just turn off the screen and not turn off the phone. for touch player, pressing the power button will turn off the screen, but will keep the music playing.
Guest ryboto Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 thanks for the replies, like I said, after a hard-boot, it's solved, and touchplayer works in standby. What's funny about this thread is AFTER I posted that I had solved the problem, I get replies, but in three other threads I've posted a different issue, that is still unresolved, and I have yet to see a single response to it. Just kinda annoying.
