Syncing music on Omnia

Hello. I tried searching for this, but didn't find anything.

I'm having trouble copying my music to the omnia. I have about 6-7GB of music. The sync process starts, but seems to stop around 40-50%. It appears that a lot of my music has been copied over, but almost none of my album art.

Is this a common problem?

Also, is there a better media player than Touch Player?

I happen to like Touch Player. It has cover flow and it works pretty nicely and the interface is touch friendly.

I suppose you could try S2P, though it has coverflow problems when you have lots of album artwork.

I've had the same problem, I've got about 12 gig of music, and like you when updating the library at some point it hangs meaning I need a soft reset. I've given up on touchplayer because of that. Library update with WMP works with no problem.

I tend to use MediaMonkey for syncing my music. It is much easier to set up syncing parameters - for example, defining exactly how your album art will be copied across.

If you are just setting up your music - you could try copying all your music to the device when in USB Mass Storage mode.

I sort of found out what my problem was. It was me.

The music was copying fine, but it was configured to copy all videos and pictures across as well. That is another 10GB or so, and the videos needed to be converted. So that's where my problem was.

If you only want music, change your sync settings to only copy your music library.

WMP has all the album art, but TouchPlayer still doesn't. I'm really anal about that stuff, so TouchPlayer is not an option unless it can display album art.

Any ideas?
