Guest somedude Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 (edited) Pandora just announced today that their free internet radio service works with certain windows mobile phones. Can anyone test to see if it works for omnia? (Just go to www.pandora.com to check) Edited December 16, 2008 by somedude
Guest jimmyinmd Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 (edited) I get... "Sorry. Pandora does not support your device." Maybe someone has a workaround. Edited December 16, 2008 by jimmyinmd
Guest somedude Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 I get... "Sorry. Pandora does not support your device." Maybe someone has a workaround. Hmmmm. Well it works for these phones: Sprint HTC Touch Verizon XV6900 Motorola Q9c So i wonder what makes them so different from omnia? Its probably a resolution issue
Guest Turb0wned Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 It also works with the iphone. I really was hoping this would work but it doesn't seem like it.

Guest krelvinaz Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 Until they fix the interface to allow the keyboard to work properly, it is not ready for prime time on the i910. You can get through the account creation stuff by hopping back and forth turning the keyboard on and selecting the box you want to fill in, but filling in the music selection didn't work that way. I had to complete it on my workstation. Even then, the interface is not well suited for the phone yet.
Guest jimmyinmd Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 (edited) I get a C++ error when starting Pandora. It also doesn't find my station after logging in. Anyone else have this problem? Edited December 16, 2008 by jimmyinmd

Guest Jeanne8fr Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 I just download the CAD file from there: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=48458 It works great and there is no problems with the keyboard opening on my i900. The zip is not the same version so may be it's better to use the CAB I attached it below. Jeannettepandora.cab

Guest polo2883 Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 It works for me... I opened up word to try to copy and paste info but pasting does not work. But when I got back to the app the keyboard popped up.
Guest Vish.net Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 For those of you who got Pandora to work on your Omnia, is there a trick to doing so? I have tried installing Pandora CAB from various sources, including from this thread, but seem to get the same results. I was able to get around the keyboard issue and got logged in to my Pandora account, chose a channel, but it just sits at the Pandora logo with "Connecting...". I do get the two C++ errors at startup. I've also tried installing .NET Compact Framework 3.5 and verified that Windows Mobile is using 3.5 now. That doesn't seem to help either. I have a Verizon Omnia, with not much customization. Any ideas/help would be appreciated. Thanks, Vishnu
Guest TheDrizzle Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Pandora was working fine for me, but now it stops playing when my screen turns off. I.e; I'll be listening to it, then s2u2 kicks in, still ok, then after about 20 or so more seconds the screen turns off, and as soon as that happens the playback stops. If I wake the device up, pandora is still there and looks normal. If I check next, the next track starts playing normally... (but again wills top if the device goes to sleep...) Anyway else notice this? It was working fine so something I installed caused this. Any idea what app might cause that behavior? The only thing I can think I installed is "Rotation Service" but I tried shutting that down and it did not resolve the issue.
