Guest adiapd Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 Hi, Ha anyone else experienced programs not closing down after closing them? After closing a program, say Phone Book, I can go to Task Manager and the program will still be displayed?? I can then manually close them but I was wondering if anyone knows why they won't close themselves down?? Thanks Darma
Guest LGR Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 Winmo is designed this way - you can use third-party solutions like this one: http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/pocketplus/?en There are other free solutions - I personally use SPB pocket plus (on trial ATM) since I have the Mobile Shell installed and they work great together.
Guest merlot Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 I recommend you to use tMan. It's a lightweight Taskmanager which closes a program really when you tab on OK or X.
Guest frmariam Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 (edited) wKtask is also pretty cool. Does the same as tman plus adds running apps icons to the start bar and bundles a nifty bat status displayer (like batti) and an app launcher. For wKtask: http://soft.photoracer.net/docs/wktask_en.html For tman: http://code.google.com/p/tman/ Edited December 17, 2008 by frmariam

It can't be closed even with a task manager. The one way to do this is to terminate/kill the CPROG.EXE as running process with a soft like Memmaid. Thats why I did disable it (check another post for registry tweak) and I use now Iconsoft dialer. Edited December 17, 2008 by jclsm
Guest Pete2 Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 Like Merlot I use tman. Works well and its not a resource hungry app.
Guest bobobird Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 You do not need any special software, the built in swipe task switcher can close all tasks. With the suggested task managers you still have to press an additional key or 2 to close the task so make no difference whatsoever. The only way to really close the active app is to map the end key with a software like AE Button Plus.

I disagree with your statement. With tMan I have not to use an additional key. The only thing I've to do is tabbing the little OK or X button in the rigth upper corner and the program will close.
