Guest lionheartk Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 (edited) Hello all, I installed coreplayer on various rom versions and also tried Coreplayer 1.2, 1.3, and fiddled with the Directdraw, rawbuffer options, even increased buffer to 8 meg, but i still get choppy framerates when i play divx/xvid files on it. Any clues on how to fix that? Thanks a lot!!! Edited December 18, 2008 by lionheartk
Guest tensor123 Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 Go to ==>> Tools -> Preferences ->Video PAGE ->Change Video Output to Intel XScale ... OK ==>> Restart CorePlayer.
Guest AximTheGreat Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 where to get core player?
Guest krelvinaz Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 I got it from the official site: http://www.coreplayer.com/content/view/28/69/ and used my Visa for authentication and it worked just fine.
Guest lionheartk Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 Thanks tensor! will test it and post results.
Guest lionheartk Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 It got a little better but its still jumpy at times. Maybe its because im playing a huge file? (150mb for 30 minutes xvid)?
Guest lufeig Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 lionheartk, please try another file. maybe the one you are trying to play is poorly encoded, or it does not fit the "standards". i play 700mb and 1.4gb xvid movies in my omnia using tv-out and it works like a charm!

Guest shokka9 Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 Hello all, I installed coreplayer on various rom versions and also tried Coreplayer 1.2, 1.3, and fiddled with the Directdraw, rawbuffer options, even increased buffer to 8 meg, but i still get choppy framerates when i play divx/xvid files on it. Any clues on how to fix that? Thanks a lot!!! Please forgive me if i offend you, do you hard reset your Omnia after flashing?? If not, try that. I only say that because i had same issue, long time ago, but same thing. I would also get the music lagging too. Never could work it out at all, sometimes i thought that it had to warm up as sometimes it would get better the more i used it? but not all times. The problem seemed to disappear when i started flashing it, coz i always hard reset after i think. If like most people, we install apps all the time, forget to remove, some remove, just general stuff. I install coreplayer after every flash and never had issues. Dont change any settings really, just video mode to intelXscale, thats it. The above shouldnt cause any issue with coreplayer, but stuff happens. I managed to see it gone, but everyones Omnia, ROM, apps, settings different. Stuff happens that cant be explained and should not happen. But it does. Try a hard reset, install coreplayer first, then try with a file. I have 700mb files that play no probs (avi), no distortion or lag or any kind of issue. Coreplayer (for me) plays video quite well with very nice images, colour, clairty, etc very nice to watch. Obviously depends on quality too (obvious). Good luck with it.
Guest natzakaria Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Mind sharing the settings for OMNIA. Its nice and clear but video is not that smooth
Guest Thousand Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 Go to ==>> Tools -> Preferences ->Video PAGE ->Change Video Output to Intel XScale ... OK ==>> Restart CorePlayer. Just adjusted to this setting, and it runs WAY smoother now. Thank you so, so much!
