Guest samjuan Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 any idea why it is only 65K effective, we understand that some will say "winmo limitation" and stuff, but is there really any official "or simi official" comment about this? We also understand the "this is room for expantion, winmo 6.5 ready, winmo 7 ready etc etc..." however does it mean anything to us? does it mean we WILL get a winmo update when it is there for sure? Looking at the history of Samsung, they don't release OS updates to their models, so that is what puzzles me the most!
Guest adzrm Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 my friend updated the i600 from winmobile 5 to 6 thanks to samsung........ but i think we won't be so lucky
Guest psionandy Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 We also understand the "this is room for expantion, winmo 6.5 ready, winmo 7 ready etc etc..." however does it mean anything what? where does it say that?
Guest mobilehappy Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 It just means that Omnias screen supports up to 256K Colors. (WM 6.1 only supports 64K) Ie. If you use another OS which supports it, then it can show 256K Colors. The difference can be seen in the Pixon which basically have the same screen and uses a Samsung OS with support for 256K Colors, read on..
Guest samjuan Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 no one said that we will get an upgrade, however I was just wondering why did they put the 256 "naturally more expensive eh?" screen instead of using a plain 65k screen, which is what we are using now! By the way, screen color intensity "and naturally resolution" makes a big difference in the mobile world, take a look at how crisp the iphone, or even Samung's F480 screen compared to ours. I'm just saying... is this considered room for future?
