Garmin and sleep mode

One question regarding Omnia and Garmin...

My phone is set to go to sleep after 1 min of inactivity, as default. The problem is,

that while Garmin is on, the phone screen turns off after 1 min, while

...let's say playing movie in Core player works fine even after few minutes.

Anyone knows, how to solve this.. that screen would stay on during Garmin usage?
