I've been succeded in cooking my own first ROM IA1 using your software and script, and it works very well, so thank you very much ! I've just a question, with my new rom I use only IE. But it doesn't open any web page ... I've tried GSM or WIFI, I've access to internet with CorePlayer for youtube in WIFI and to my network and that's all. Something else, it never connect to internet using GSM ... I've tried witth the original IA1 ROM and it works perfectly. GSM and WIFI, everything is automatic ... And I would like to know which script must I keep in order to have internet on my rom ? Thanks for your help ! PS : sorry if I made mistake, I'm not english ... I've updated the panelfs script to fix the new samsung panel location in IA2 and also separated out the plumsip stuff into a separate script so it is possible to uninstall either/or rather than both (since i like to keep just the samsung panel)... i can send you the files if you like. Don' t forget to do a hard reset after flashing After the hard reset and before using opera or IE , go to START/SETTINGS/CONNECTIONS/OPERATOR SETTINGS : choose another operator than yours , valid , let the winmo icon turning a few seconds , and then , choose your own operator back ; soft reset : it should work Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest qbus Posted February 12, 2009 Report Share Posted February 12, 2009 Open the folder Temp which was created during the buildOS process : open the log file and in the end of the log file , you may have a line with ERROR ................. : try to identify the guilty task or package you put in your ROM I shot that this is a problem wrong first line in HTC Task Manager task :(. I've found a solution to delete pimg and don't have error while connecting to PC. I've made a little exe with VB.NET call pimg.exe wich don't do anything but just launch and unload and all is ok. Using the instructions here, I tried updating SYS and XIP to latest version, but ended up hangs at bootload screen so reverted to original SYS and XIP 2. I checked the options to remove flash 2.1 and cf 2 and checked options to upgrade to flash 3.1 and cf3.5, but when doing buildrom didn't get check box for cf3.5 or flash, and after flashing and installing dotnet configurator it says i have version cf2 installed so have to manually install it after... Are there additional steps to be followed to enable successful updates? 3. Given issue with CF above, how do I check the flash version? ps. The tasks DO NOT work in the kitchen (XIP does, but better to manually do it). I tried many times, never got past first boot screen (with IA2) I done others before. This area of porting SYS & XIP takes more knowledge than most things. If you crack it, share your knowledge 2. There is no checkbox for CF or anything. Only few tasks provide check boxes. Check the warnings.log file after running SYAKR, it will tell you if you have anything to worry bout. 3. Check flash, by using Opera (latest is best for me build 15233) and goto YouTube.com, watch a video. If it works, you done it. But again, if it doesnt install, warnings.log will tell you. Guest arunachalam Posted February 14, 2009 Report Share Posted February 14, 2009 I want to remove old pocket Internet explorer and install new ie6.latest pie.cab installed but old only remaining(after restart)During rom cooking I removed old pie folders from SYS folders and add new folders of pie 6.after installation of new rom pie mixed with old and new.flash videos not working and the screen says loading.so I want to remove old pie from rom.what are the files to be removed and where it is situated.new pie also not good.the option of zoom out flash video not playing.it plays in full screen mode and the size is too bigger than the screen.this way opera is best.second problem if you download some files thro pie6 you cant return to browser page till the download complete.we have to wait for it.kindly add task for removing ie6 in syakar.thank you.
