When we close the X button, the app didn't actually close ?

in WM5 we have this option to X to close app.... is the setting still in OMnia ?

I haven't found anything like that. I'm using tMan to solve the issue. Maybe in further versions it'll be fixed.

yea, its really annoying. Im also having to use task mgr to kill apps. Note though, some apps do have an exit (like Opera) so I try to use that first

It's the design of Windows Mobile, the idea is that any app you close will sit in the background ready to be used when you need it but importantly they should not use any processing power as such.

In reality that's another matter unfortunately.

I used to use a small app called "smclose" (do a google search) which you copied to the windows/startup folder. It used to work great on wm2003 and wm5 but I haven't tried it yet on the omnia. Every tap of the x will close the app completely.

I don't know if it will work with the omnia's operating system or if it will end up needing the pda to have a hard reset - if anyone has the time to try and risk a hard reset and can give feedback it will be greatly appreciated.

You can also use Mbutton (Magic Button), that will also add the icons of running programs to the upper bar

+1 for tman. A must for every WM phone. You won't have to end tasks because x will o what it's supposed to do. And you can exclude software if you don't want to close it.
